Who is the Huntington Ravine Climb for?
This demanding day is for climbers who want to test their skills on long alpine snow and ice climbs high above timberline. Be prepared for a long day with lots of elevation gain. Previous experience is required.

When can I do the Huntington Ravine Climb?
This course runs every day from late fall through early spring. You can schedule it any day you want by calling our reservation line 603-444-1039.

What will I learn on the Huntington Ravine Climb?
You will put your climbing skills to the test on a long, alpine route in Huntington Ravine and learn the skills to move quickly over moderate terrain. The climbs are from 400-600 feet long and most are in the NEI 2-3 range of difficulty. Anchor systems, efficient rope and equipment management, routefinding, decision-making in a harsh environment and proper outfitting for alpine climbing will all be covered.

How big are the groups for the Huntington Ravine Climb?
Our standard group instruction is taught with a maximum of three clients with one instructor. We keep our ratios low so that you get personal attention. If you book in for a group lesson as an individual or a party of two, we may match you with someone else if it is appropriate.

How do I sign up for the Huntington Ravine Climb?
Signing up is as easy as calling our reservation and information line at 603-444-1039. or When you call we will answer any questions you have about our programs and then take down all the information we need to sign you up. We take payment at the time of the reservation via a credit card--though other payment options may be available. To ensure that you get the day you want, try to give us as much notice as possible--a couple of weeks is usually sufficient (we may be able to accommodate you with much less notice so if your schedule opens up and you want to climb, just give us a call.)

What personal equipment does Climb On, Inc provide?
We provide all the technical equipment including a harness, helmet, mountaineering boots, crampons and ice axes.

What hours does the course run and how is the day structured?
We meet for the course at 7:00 AM and usually finish up between 5:00 and 6:00 PM. After a few minutes in the morning making sure we have the proper equipment we will head out to the climbs. We will be busy climbing all day.

Do I need to be young and fit to do the Huntington Ravine Climb?
You dont need to be young but you do need a moderate level of aerobic fitness for this program. In addition to climbing 400-600 feet there will be several miles of steep and strenuous hiking.

Can children do the Huntington Ravine Climb?
This program is not available for children under 16

What do I need to Bring?
