Throughout the
NH White Mountains are a vast array of frozen waterfalls, slides
and guilles.
Most
are easily accessed and only a pitch or two in length. From thousand
foot long alpine gullies on Mt. Washington to short, vertical test
pieces
scattered through the region, climbers visiting the White Mountains
will find it all here. Centrally located, Franconia Notch is the perfect
base for an introduction to the frozen side of New England Climbing.
